Despite popular belief

Despite popular belief Gods promises are not unconditional.
Here are just a couple of scriptures. Notice the IF.
15 IF ye love me, keep my commandments. John 14:15 (KJV)
7 IF ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. John 15:7 (KJV)
10 IF ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. John 15:10 (KJV)
Even the sinner next Jesus on the cross obeyed the commandment to fear God.
And did the work of defending the Christ.
39 And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us.
40 But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation?
41 And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss.
42 And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.
Luke 23:39-42 (KJV)

Here is a commandment of Jesus that is ignored by most professing Christians today.
33 Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth.
34 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. Luke 12:33-34 (KJV)

He said that there would be sufferings and persecutions for his names sake.
25 Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;
26 Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in (U.S.A.)Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward. Heb 11:25-26 (KJV)

12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
2 Tim 3:12 (KJV)

Read the story of what the early church did with the direction of the Holy Ghost.
Here is a glimpse into the gospel of the Kingdom of God.
31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the HOLY GHOST, and they spake the word of God with boldness.
32 And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.
33 And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.
34 Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold,
35 And laid them down at the apostles' feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need. Acts 4:31-35 (KJV)

Why would a TRUE Christian strive to keep riches and excess knowing that all works will be burned except for the riches he has stored in heaven?
10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. 2 Peter 3:10 (KJV)
Luke 12:33-34 (KJV)
Prov 22:16 (KJV)
And yes it is a way of life and attitude.
And this attitude has everything to do with the mark of the beast.
When a friend becomes a widow and cant afford the light bill,
When your neighbor needs money to send his son to daycare so he can go to work,
When a homeless family needs school supplies,
When your TV goes on the fritz you don’t go out and buy a $3,000 52in. TV (more than what’s needed) you buy a $200 TV and give alms of the $2,800. And you don’t give it to someone you know is going to line their pockets with it. Give it directly to the soup kitchen, the lady with the disconnect notice, the man holding the unemployed sign etc. etc…. If all Christians (in this nation) would do this then this nation would be a much better place to live in and in a better place to effectively help the poorer nations of this world.

As long as there is a person in need and you have more than you need this verse convicts;
11 He answereth and saith unto them, He that hath two coats, let him impart to him that hath none; and he that hath meat, let him do likewise.
Luke 3:11 (KJV)

Here is a cliché with a twist,
“Ask not what God can do for you but what you can do for God.”
I pray that this message opens the eyes of many of Gods children.
